Entry opens December 5 for premier winter karting series on the left coast
ORANGE, CA (November 23, 2016) – The national karting scene has come to a close for the 2016 race period and like the flip of a switch, drivers, teams and industry members have turned their attention to the upcoming season. Along the western half of the United States for the last nine years, the racing season begins in January with the Challenge of the Americas. The premier winter karting series is set to host its 10th season of competition, welcoming the best drivers from the United States, Canada and around the world over a great decade of racing. 10th season of international winter series on west coast releases three event schedule
ORANGE, CA (August 3, 2016) – In the summer of 2007, the Challenge of the Americas was launched with the winter of 2008 hosting its first ever events to serve as the premier winter program for the west coast. A decade later, plans are underway to host the 10th season of the Challenge. Series promoter Andy Seesemann and his COTA staff have solidified themselves as one of the most organized, structured racing series in North America with a goal of making the 10th season another memorable three-month championship program. Sonoma, Calif. – The final round of the Challenge of the Americas (COA) will take place at Simraceway Performance Karting Center in Sonoma, California April 1st to the 3rd. With the points championship coming down to the wire and invites to Team USA for this years Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals in Italy, the weekend promises to be some of the best wheel-to-wheel action of the season.
This year, the race will be run in the reverse national layout. This is the opposite of how it has been run in the past. The United States Rotax Grand Nationals will also be run in the reverse layout, and this will be one of the teams and drivers only chances to run the track configuration before the upcoming national event weekend.
