Event Format

Each Challenge of the Americas weekend will consist of a Friday practice day, which is divided into sessions by class.

If necessary, transponders will be used in the final session of Friday practice to set the qualifying groups for Saturday qualifying.

Saturday and Sunday are race days.  Each race day will consist of a warmup session, a qualifying session, a prefinal and a final for each class except for LO206.  LO206 will warmup, qualify and run two 10 lap heat races on Saturday.  On Sunday, LO206 will warmup, run a third 10 lap heat and then a 18 lap final.  Heats will utilize the CIK format, non-progressive, with the CIK heat point system to determine the starting position for the final.
